Set to make return against the Cavaliers on January 18th

Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson is set to make his long-awaited return to the court on January 18th against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thompson has been sidelined for the past two seasons with a torn ACL and a torn Achilles tendon.

The 31-year-old shooting guard was injured in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. He underwent surgery to repair the torn ACL and was expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season. However, Thompson suffered a setback in his recovery and was forced to miss the entire season, including the delayed postseason.

Thompson then suffered a torn Achilles tendon during an offseason workout in November 2020. He underwent surgery to repair the tendon and was expected to miss the entire 2020-21 season.

Thompson has been working hard to rehab his injuries and is now ready to make his return to the court. He is expected to be a key contributor for the Warriors, who are looking to make a run at the NBA championship this season.
