Wichita State Will Face Oklahoma, Texas, and TCU in Round-Robin Tournament

WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State baseball team will play in the 2025 College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, it was announced Tuesday by the tournament organizers. The Shockers will face Oklahoma, Texas, and TCU in a round-robin tournament from Feb. 14-16, 2025.

”We are excited to announce that we will be playing in the College Baseball Showdown in 2025,” said Wichita State head coach Eric Wedge. “This is a great opportunity for our program to play against some of the top teams in the country in a first-class facility.”

The College Baseball Showdown is one of the premier college baseball tournaments in the country. The tournament was first played in 2020 and has featured some of the top teams in the nation, including Vanderbilt, LSU, and Texas A&M.

The Shockers will open the tournament against Oklahoma on Feb. 14. They will then face Texas on Feb. 15 and TCU on Feb. 16.

The Shockers are coming off a successful 2022 season, in which they finished with a 38-19 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
